Painis Pasta

Italy was a trek. We started this journey in Venice. Venice nearly burned to the ground (not Nickelback style) within the first hour we arrived. Turns out that map websites are not applicable to Venice because we ended up with directions to a street across town with our hotel nowhere to be seen. This anger was heightened by the fact that I was wearing pants in the sun and a hugh jazz backpack.
While I loved Venice for the beautiful buildings, the surrounding water and all other Tourist scenery (yeah I watched it), it will forever be the birth place of the Bambino. The Bambino, below, is a balloon type material filled with what we assume was illegal drugs/cornstarch with hair and eyes glued on. And we happen to be the stupid tourists who eat this crap for breakfast. It was originally named after Bo but since I would do a seventy year old, French-Canadian smoker accent to go with it it became the Bambino (bam-bane-oh). This little fella was quite the animal, as you will see from his smoking habits.
That crazy cougar. He, however, died an unfortunate death in Rome. One evening he stretched himself to far and hit the dust. That was a pun. When we tried to take this photo in Vernazza, the ladies across the street were laughing and taking photos of us puffing cigarettes and putting them on what probably looked like a hairy tennis ball.
This little town by the coast was packed with cats or "bros." This cat is such a bro. He was straight sleeping in the middle of the main square and refused to move for anyone. Anytime a cat came out, I would exclaim "brooooooooz!" It still surprises me that we were never removed for disorderly conduct.
Va-va-vaticano! The entire time we were in the va-va-vaticano I would proceed to thrust and fist pump while singing "va-va-Vaticano!" One, that song reminds me of last summer and two, they played it at every bar we went to over there. It appears that vodka shots are a foreign concept over there. The little man at the bar covered his eyes when we did them. Way to stand out in a crowd.
All in all, Italy was pretty excellent. We were for serious stuffed with pizza and pasta. Stereotypical but so true. I really recommend staying by the Pantalon (Pantheon). It's a nice area that is pretty dang close to everything too.

Have you ever been to Italy?
